When chrome and enamel were all the rage.

My father was a motor mechanic, and his first job in the early 1950s was at a haulage company, looking after their fleet of trucks, and they would have been furnished with delightful badges like these.

I don’t know if its in my genes therefore, but I’ve always had a soft spot for cars and trucks, particularly those I grew up with. If anyone’s got a Ford Escort Mk1 RS Mexico they’re done with, then I promise to give it a good home.

Living in Brighton, we’re frequently the final destination for a number of vintage vehicle runs, everyone likes to finish up at the seaside. I took these photos of a few of the vintage commercial vehicles that had completed the drive down from London, on their annual trip to the coast.
