Telstar Records sold TV advertised compilations, Now That's What I Call a House Party type of thing.
They were a significant early Intro client, we made the commercials to accompany the compilations. In order to establish ourselves we did a quantity of lower-value design, which allowed us to take on lesser-paid, more creative work. We didn’t expect Telstar to provide us with an opportunity to showcase our design talents.
Telstar were approached to create a compilation (compilations being their thing) of British Indie Music for the Japanese market, and had no idea how to package it, so left it to us. This was my most significant effort around this time and helped to get us noticed.
